Also remember that this is a much higher percentage than standard author's royalties from conventional printers and publishers.

Most of these companies handle all the bookkeeping and send you a check once a month. So, if you sell ten books a month at the rates mentioned above, you'll receive a check for seventy dollars. They may not seem like a lot, but remember that you can have your ebook up for sale on several online bookstores. Ten of them selling ten books a month makes you seven hundred dollars, and you only had to write the book once.

Another option is to create your own website to promote your ebook. You'll want to set up with an online company to accept credit cards, online checks and any other payment method you may choose. You'll need to submit to all the major search engines, write some articles to place on the site about subjects close to the subject of the book - keyword rich articles to grab the attention of the search engines - and probably do a PPC campaign, or pay per click advertising.

The major search engines have this option as well, and many authors have used it quite successfully. However, others have not, so research the subject carefully. Then sit back, wait for people to find your site, and sell books twenty-four hours a day.
